Amazing Chinese cucumber salad

Some dishes you order unsuspectingly in the restaurant and suddenly you fall so much in love with the taste that you absolutely have to find out how this dish is prepared. We brought you such a dish today and even tell you how you can make it yourself.

Then you don’t have to worry about unnecessary research and experiments. Our favorite Chinese restaurant always offered hand-whipped cucumber salad. It was just so delicious that we ordered it again every time we went to the restaurant. But as often as we felt like the Chinese cucumber salad, we couldn’t go out to eat. So it had to be found: the recipe!

Chinese cucumber salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cucumber
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 dried chilies
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp of sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Cut the cucumber into large pieces and add the salt.
  • Finely chop the garlic and chop the dried chillies.
  • Gradually add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, garlic and chillies to the cucumber and stir in well.
  • It is best to let the cucumber salad soak in the refrigerator for about an hour. Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

If you want to make the typical “hand-whipped” cucumber salad, you can crush the cucumber with the flat side of a knife and then cut it into pieces.
