Ingredients

  • 750 g plums
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 20 g oats
  • 100 g processed nuts (almonds and/or hazelnuts)
  • 150 g flour
  • 120 g sugar
  • a few drops of vanilla extract (or other kind of vanilla)
  • 120 g vegetable butter (cold)

Instructions

  • Wash, halve and stone the plums. Slit the opposite side of the hole where the stalk was.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with 2 tablespoons of sugar and place the halved plums tightly in an ovenproof dish.
  • Then sprinkle the cinnamon & sugar mixture evenly over the plums.
  • Now prepare the crumble. Put the oat flakes, nuts, flour, sugar, vanilla and cold butter (in small pieces) together in a bowl.
  • Then knead this with your hands until the crumble dough is formed. So it shouldn't be smooth, but really crumbly.
  • Now pour the dough over the plums and put it into the oven. Bake with convection 180°C (350°F) with top and bottom heat 200°C (390°F) for 30-40 minutes, depending on the oven.

Notes

You can use all purpose or white spelt flour. But If you want to add some nutritional value to it, you can use spelled flour of higher type like bread flour oder high-gluten flour.
